We work on commercial and industrial projects including power distribution, lighting systems, networking and low-voltage cabling, EV charging infrastructure, and other electrical installations.


Position Summary

Lunex Electric is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The Journeyman Electrician will perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial and light industrial projects while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

This position is ideal for an electrician who takes pride in their craft, enjoys solving problems, and is willing to help develop apprentices and junior electricians in the field.

Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
  • Install conduit, wire, cable, lighting, power distribution systems, panels, devices, and controls.
  • Perform electrical testing and diagnostics to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, project managers, and team members.
  • Accurately document work performed, materials used, and project progress.
  • Assist in planning work activities and coordinating tasks with project leadership.
  • Mentor apprentices and provide guidance on proper installation techniques and safety practices.
  • Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment responsibly.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Journeyman Electrician License in Maryland.
  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and NEC requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with conduit bending, wire pulling, panel installations, lighting systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience leading small crews or supervising apprentices.
  • Experience with low-voltage systems, networking, fiber optics, security systems, or EV charging infrastructure.
  • Experience working on tenant fit-outs, commercial renovations, and service projects.
