Job description

ELIGIBLE FOR CMH EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS: PRIORITY RECRUITMENT
Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing vendor, service, commercial, and real estate contracts to ensure they align with company goals, policies, and legal regulations. Responsible for oversight of the contract lifecycle management software (Contract Logix). Initiates negotiations and ensure competitive rates are attained prior to contracts being finalized by the CEO and/or CFO. The Contract Specialist will serve as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth and compliant contract execution. This position also oversees property and auto claim investigations/management as well as the annual insurance application completion.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to:
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent work skills
• Knowledge of contract types, general contract law and guidelines, procurement process, and risk management
• Subject matter expert in contracts, lifecycle activities, and contract management software
• Ability to provide contract scenarios and market analysis
• Work with Materials Management and GPO to negotiate best rates on contracted services
• Coordinate with department leaders monitoring contract quality and financial metrics, renewals, and rates
• Coordinate with department leaders and outside agencies (such as auditors, legal counsel, accreditation, and regulatory) to support and prepare for audits, surveys and corrective actions if needed
• Provides CFO with overall contract metrics, compliance, and financial performance
• Ability to coordinate with multiple insurance brokers across different insurance markets, as well as manage the renewal process.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
License/Certification
Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) and/or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), preferred.
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Paralegal certificate preferred
• 3+ years of healthcare experience in contract and contract lifecycle administration, and legal review preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
