Job description

AC4S LLC is currently seeking a Domestic Deployment Technician to join their team in Northern Virginia. The qualified candidate will perform hardware and software deployment and installation at Passport Agencies and domestic Consular centers. Executes server installation support services including non-routine and emergency work.

Performs Hardware Configuration Management for designated DT/EA/CST configurable items. Completes operating system configuration, security fixes, software installations and upgrades, security patches, and Oracle database changes during active deployment. Creates technical documents recording all server installation activities.

Contributes deployment tracking data covering completed installations. Follows deployment SOPs and reports recommended improvements. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on assignments, performing work under supervision.

Experience and Skills Strong knowledge of computer hardware, servers, workstations, operating systems, and peripheral devices. Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting Windows-based operating systems and enterprise software applications. Knowledge of server installation, deployment, and hardware configuration processes.

Experience applying software updates, security patches, operating system upgrades, and system configuration changes. Familiarity with configuration management principles and adherence to approved technical standards and procedures Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, deployment plans, installation guides, and standard operating procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure deployment accuracy and compliance with quality standards Physical Requirements Footwear: Steel-toe boots or steel-toe protective shoes are required at all times while performing warehouse duties or handling IT equipment. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment and boxed assets weighing a minimum of 40 pounds .

Occasional lifting of items above this weight may be required with proper team-lift procedures. Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, including walking between storage areas, staging zones, and inventory stations. Bending, Stooping, and Reaching: Regular bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to access shelves, pallet racks, and inventory locations.

Pushing and Pulling: Ability to push or pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment used to transport IT assets within the warehouse environment. Manual Dexterity: Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to safely unbox, label, scan, connect, and prepare IT hardware and accessories. Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures, concrete flooring, and active movement of equipment and personnel.

May require use of basic PPE such as gloves or safety glasses depending on task. Equipment Operation (if applicable): Ability to safely operate non-powered material handling equipment (e.g., carts, dollies, pallet jacks). No forklift operation is assumed unless separately certified and required
