Job Title: Tooling Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling Engineer to lead our tooling department in delivering top-notch quality, cost-effective solutions, and exceptional performance. Your role will involve optimizing personnel and machinery usage, adhering to quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the tooling department to meet customer expectations in quality, quantity, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Optimize the use of personnel and machinery to adhere to quality standards and minimize reworks and inhibitions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and modernization of production processes, ensuring their validation.
  • Resolve tooling and personnel issues effectively.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of tooling engineers, toolroom leads, and mold makers.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
Essential Skills
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience in molding tooling with at least 2+ years in the field.
  • Proficiency in design, mechanical engineering, and engineering management.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment, such as aerospace or semiconductor industries.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/trade school.
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Experience in mold design and tool and die processes.
