SUMMARY:
Contract Overview
This position supports the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) at the Center for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS) in Omaha, Nebraska. The Administrative & Technical Support Specialist provides administrative, logistical, operational, and program support to ensure the successful delivery of military medical training programs.
The role works closely with instructors, leadership, and support staff to coordinate training activities, manage administrative operations, maintain records, support logistics, and assist with day-to-day program operations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative & Technical Support Specialist to support the daily operations of USAFSAM's C-STARS training program.
The ideal candidate has experience providing administrative support, coordinating logistics, maintaining records, managing multiple priorities, and working with diverse stakeholders. Experience supporting military, healthcare, government, or educational organizations is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of administrative support experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting military or Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.
  • Knowledge of Air Force administrative procedures and military protocols.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, medical education, or training programs.
  • Experience with budgeting, logistics coordination, records management, or inventory management.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or training activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to leadership and staff supporting the C-STARS training program.
  • Coordinate medical and non-medical logistics, facilities, and administrative operations.
  • Assist with budget tracking, contracts, security, and information management activities.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document meeting notes, and maintain records.
  • Manage calendars, correspondence, email communications, and documentation.
  • Support student onboarding, course preparation, badge distribution, classroom setup, and course logistics.
  • Maintain training records, databases, and organizational documentation.
  • Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and equipment accountability.
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment transfers, and logistical support activities.
  • Support program tours, special events, and leadership visits.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is current and compliant.
  • Participate in staff meetings and support additional administrative projects as assigned.
