About the Role

· Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, attorneys, surveyors, title companies, and other key stakeholders.

· Conduct property ownership research, title review, and due diligence to support project development.

· Draft, negotiate, and execute option agreements, leases, easements, amendments, and other real estate agreements related to renewable energy development.

· Coordinate with internal development, legal, engineering, and project management teams throughout the acquisition process.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate records, timelines, and reporting.

· Travel throughout the Midwest to meet with landowners, attend community meetings, and conduct site visits as needed.

· Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve land-related issues that could impact project schedules.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of local market conditions, permitting requirements, and renewable energy industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects, with a demonstrated history of successfully securing land rights.

· Experience supporting solar and/or battery energy storage (BESS) development projects.

· Strong knowledge of land acquisition processes, title research, easements, leases, and real estate transactions.

· Proven ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with landowners and community stakeholders.

· Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating renewable energy land agreements.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines.

· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

· Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest as project needs require.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with utility-scale renewable energy development.

· Familiarity with GIS mapping tools, title software, or county land record systems.

· Knowledge of state and local permitting requirements related to renewable energy projects.
