Job Description
An Engineering Manager, who will help to drive innovation, mentor top talent, and shape the future of our platform with cutting-edge technology.
The Sports Platform department is responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting our sports platform which is an n-tier system focused on low latency while supporting high throughput. You and your team will create amazing experiences for our traders who manage all the betting opportunities that go onto our site.
You will be responsible for building and managing a leading a team of T-shaped, full-stack engineers of varying experience levels and skillsets. You will measure quality and delivery, contribute and drive improvements, whilst ensuring that we remain skilled, engaged and empowered and that our processes and technology are efficient and fit for purpose.
The team will build new services in Golang and Google Spanner datastore, and support microservices written in C# utilizing SQL. We are moving from on-prem to GCP hosted infrastructure. We utilize Kafka to consume data from external providers. The front-end of the trader apps will migrate from WPF to React. Testing and observability will be top of mind.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
The salary for this role is $110,000 - $160,000 annually.
Qualifications
  • Commercial experience with leading development teams in the delivery of high quality software applications in client or service side application development.
  • Passionate about working with technology and software development processes and practices.
  • Experience with C#, Golang, Typescript or other server side technologies.
  • Adaptability, with the ability to lead a team to ensure the best outcome for the Business.
  • Experience with mobile technologies.
  • Experience with performance testing.
  • Knowledge of service orientated architecture.
  • Exposure to multiple software development methodologies.
  • Experience with or exposure to Cloud technologies such as GCP, GKE or SAAS.
  • Exposure to generative artificial intelligence and large language models.
