Warehouse Specialist
**3-month contract. No guarantee of employment after 60 days**
Perform a full range of warehousing activities, including management of gear and equipment, storing, issuing, reconstitution, sewing/tailoring (as required by location), inventorying and shipping bulk and individual materials and equipment.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Warehouse Specialist: $25 per hour.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Warehouse Specialist Responsibilities Include:
  • Performs a full range of warehousing activities, to include, but not limited to the management of combat gear and equipment (Personal Gear Issue/PGI) material, receiving, storing, issuing, reconstitution, sewing/tailoring (as required by location), inventorying and shipping bulk and individual PGI materials and equipment.
  • Conducts accurate packing and shipping of material.
  • Receives and fills customer orders.
  • Picks merchandise from warehouse shelves, packs merchandise, checks packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeps track of inventory and shipments.
  • Loads and unloads materials and products as needed.
  • Organizes inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Warehouse Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • Two-year experience in performing warehouse duties, such as packing, shipping, receiving, filling customer orders, picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
  • Understanding of inventory control systems.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting up to 30 lbs, bending and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools.
  • Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
  • Proven knowledge of using Warehouse Management System for inventory management and control.
  • Proven knowledge of managing workload for multiple warehouse operations.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
