Key Responsibilities:
  • Executes and is responsible for basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering, etc.) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes.)
  • Exemplifies and possesses strong customer service skills to elevate our clients experience.
  • Educates and trains store teams on customer offerings and services provided by the Tailor Shop.

Job Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
  • Understanding of textiles and fabrics with proven skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
  • Awareness of design and details strong communication skills both internally and externally.

Education:
  • Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred
  • Formal Training in apparel design preferred

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a strong knowledge of jeans construction
  • Thorough knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of the job the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, use hands to type and utilize the tools of tailor shop.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Schedule Requirements:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening and weekend shifts.
