Job description

Role Overview

As Director Strategy & Planning you will be part of a team that is advising our CEO and Executive Council on key enterprise-level strategic initiatives including: Corporate Strategy, Enterprise Business Plan, Market Insights and Competitive Intelligence, and Board Reporting.
 

Work Arrangement

  • This is a 100% Remote position but you must live in EST or CST time zones

Responsibilities

  • Design the enterprise strategic plan framework and process, and drive and facilitate the development of the multi-year enterprise strategic plan; design measurement framework to monitor progress against the enterprise strategy and facilitate the process to pressure test course and speed.
  • Drive our Enterprise Business Plan (EBP) process by collaborating with business leaders to develop the annual EBP for Board approval and lead the continued maturation of the EBP process, including deployment and organizational alignment around the execution of the final EBP.
  • Facilitate strategic growth discussions among business leaders to drive the identification and prioritization of growth opportunities and strategies, and drive the development of an enterprise growth strategy and cohesive enterprise growth plan, including an annual assessment of the corporate asset portfolio (Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange, Pharmacy, Behavioral Health).
  • Evaluate adjacency and M&A opportunities, develop business cases, and make recommendations.
  • Lead a team in the day-to-day execution of assigned initiatives and projects including developing work plans, tracking progress against objectives, identifying metrics of success, collaborating with stakeholders, and leading purpose-driven meetings with business leaders.
  • Manage and develop direct reports.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • At least five (5)+ years of strategy and/or business planning experience advising C-level executives either at a management consulting firm or within a corporate strategy function
  • At least ten (10)+ years of experience in leading data analytics and financial analysis projects that required synthesizing complex data and effectively communicating results with senior leaders
  • At least ten (10)+ years of experience managing teams that collaborate across various business units to advance projects and initiatives
  • At least five (5)+ years of healthcare payor industry experience preferred
