Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, financial modeling, management reporting, valuation, and structured finance workflow review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured finance review, budgeting and forecasting analysis, management reporting assessment, corporate development workflows, investment memo review, capital allocation analysis, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their finance expertise to review realistic financial scenarios, evaluate assumptions and documentation requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based finance workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

FP&A, Budgeting & Management Reporting

  • Review finance scenarios involving budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, board packages, management reporting, headcount planning, unit economics, and operating models
  • Evaluate financial planning outputs against source materials, defined targets, business drivers, assumptions, and documented requirements
  • Support structured review of forecast packs, variance bridges, board decks, KPI summaries, headcount models, and management reports
  • Identify missing assumptions, reconciliation issues, model inconsistencies, and expected finance review outcomes

Corporate Development & Transaction Analysis

  • Review corporate development scenarios involving M&A screening, comparable company analysis, DCF modeling, LBO modeling, merger modeling, synergy analysis, diligence, and valuation review
  • Evaluate transaction materials against source data, defined assumptions, valuation ranges, return targets, and documented business criteria
  • Support structured review of investment memos, capital allocation memos, diligence summaries, long-range plans, and financial models
  • Prepare clear written explanations for valuation and transaction decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Strategic Finance & Capital Allocation Support

  • Review strategic finance scenarios involving long-range planning, scenario analysis, capital allocation decisions, investment cases, operating drivers, and financial decision frameworks
  • Evaluate IRR, NPV, payback, unit economics, and strategic finance outputs against specified inputs and expected results
  • Support structured review of operating models, board materials, investment cases, management reports, and finance documentation
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, buy-side investing, transaction advisory, Big 4 advisory, finance operations, or related finance roles
  • Working fluency in at least two areas such as three-statement modeling, DCF modeling, LBO modeling, merger modeling, valuation, management reporting, long-range planning, capital allocation, diligence, or operating finance
  • Familiarity with finance tools and platforms such as Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, Pigment, CapIQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg, NetSuite, or similar finance systems
  • Comfort reading and preparing finance artifacts such as operating models, board decks, investment memos, management reports, forecast packs, diligence summaries, valuation models, and capital allocation memos
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain finance reasoning clearly
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, mathematics, statistics, investment management, or a related quantitative field is helpful
  • MBA with a finance concentration or equivalent practical experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, buy-side investing, or advisory work is also highly relevant
