Job description

Immediate need for a talented Project Manager . This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $58 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 10 12 utility infrastructure and capital construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and monitor project expenditures.
  • Review contractor proposals, bids, estimates, and change orders for accuracy and compliance.
  • Interpret civil engineering drawings, utility plans, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, permitting, municipalities, contractors, and utility stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct field inspections and project site walkdowns to verify construction progress and quality.
  • Ensure projects comply with company standards, safety regulations, and engineering specifications.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate updates to leadership.
  • Resolve construction issues, scheduling conflicts, and stakeholder concerns.
  • Support project closeout activities, including documentation and financial reconciliation.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Project Management
  • Reading/Interpreting Civil construction plans
  • Financial Forecasting (Monthly Cash Flows) of projects
  • Project Management experience (3+ years)
  • Utility experience (Electric, Gas, or Water) or Civil construction experience or Engineering experience directly working on Utility installation/relocation projects
  • Experience reviewing contract proposals/bids
  • Experience with preparing the project forecasting (e.g., Monthly Cash Flows)
