Job Description

The PMO Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires managing resources, coordinating efforts of team members, and ensuring the quality and successful delivery of projects.


Duties and Responsibilities

โ€ข Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

โ€ข Develop comprehensive project plans that include timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

โ€ข Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, ensuring alignment with objectives and timelines.

โ€ข Identify and allocate resources (human, financial, and technical) required to complete projects successfully.

โ€ข Coordinate efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.

โ€ข Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

โ€ข Proactively manage project issues and ensure timely resolution to keep projects on track.

โ€ข Ensure all projects adhere to the established PMO standards and methodologies.

โ€ข Implement quality control measures to ensure the final deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.

โ€ข Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.

โ€ข Manage stakeholder expectations through clear and consistent communication.

โ€ข Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure project goals are achieved.

โ€ข Generate and present detailed project status reports to stakeholders.

โ€ข Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to gauge project performance and identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications

โ€ข Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Masterโ€™s degree is a plus.


โ€ข Experience:

o 3+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of managing successful projects.

o Experience working within a PMO or similar structured environment.

o Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Hybrid).

โ€ข Certifications:

o Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Lean Six Sigma Certified, SAFe Certified, or other relevant certifications.

โ€ข Preferred:

o Bachelor Degree in Business, Project Management or Technology and active PMP certification

o Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Viso, Wireframe Sketcher or equivalent.

o Familiarity with project management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

o Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Sisense, or Power BI.

o Basic understanding of coding languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).

o Basic understanding IT infrastructure is a plus.

o Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.

o Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

o Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in the written form. The employee is physically required to utilize a laptop and other electronic devices effectively. The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (laptop computer, bag, and accessories).
