We partner with industry-leading brands to better manage residential energy for users by prioritizing efficiency, savings, and comfort - and cleaner energy for everyone.

Role Summary
The Contract Product Designer at Renew Home will support critical growth initiatives across our product ecosystem, partnering closely with product management and engineering to bring high-impact experiences to life. This 6-month role is ideal for a designer who thrives in fast-moving environments and can balance strategic thinking with high-quality execution.
You'll contribute to the design of consumer-facing product experiences that improve acquisition, conversion, and retention, while also crafting compelling lifecycle email campaigns that drive engagement. The role requires strong product thinking, a sharp visual eye, and the ability to move fluidly between system-driven UI work and polished, marketing-oriented design.
What You Will Do
  • Design and deliver high-quality product experiences that support key growth initiatives, from concept through production, under the guidance of a Staff Product Designer.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate requirements into thoughtful, user-centered solutions that align with business goals.
  • Own scoped initiatives with a high degree of autonomy, while incorporating feedback and direction from design leadership.
  • Create a range of design deliverables including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and production-ready specs.
  • Design and iterate on consumer-facing email campaigns, balancing strong visual storytelling with clarity, usability, and performance considerations.
  • Apply a high level of visual craft across both product UI and email work, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience across touchpoints.
  • Advocate for users by considering the full journey-from initial entry points through conversion and ongoing engagement.
  • Contribute to design critiques and team discussions, helping maintain a high bar for quality and consistency.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools in your workflow to explore concepts, increase efficiency, and elevate design output.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or a similar role, with a portfolio that demonstrates both product thinking and strong visual execution.
  • Proven ability to design intuitive, user-centered solutions for complex problems, balancing user needs with business objectives.
  • Experience working on growth-oriented initiatives such as acquisition, conversion, or engagement flows.
  • Strong visual design skills, with the ability to deliver both polished, marketing-level creative and scalable product UI.
  • Experience designing responsive layouts and working across multiple surfaces (web, mobile, email, etc.).
  • Fluency in Figma for design, prototyping, and handoff.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering partners in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while incorporating feedback and iterating quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools within your design workflow, with the ability to speak to how they enhance your process and output.
  • Bonus:
    • Experience designing lifecycle or growth marketing emails, including an understanding of performance considerations (e.g., engagement, click-through).
    • Familiarity with email design constraints and best practices across clients and platforms.
    • Experience working with or contributing to design systems.
    • Experience in 0→1 or fast-scaling product environments.
    • Comfort contributing to UX writing or messaging within designs.
    • Illustration or storytelling skills that enhance visual communication.

Benefits
What You'll Get
