About The Role: 
We are seeking a Product Developer to manage the end-to-end development of high-performance products for the Integra brands. This role is responsible for translating customer trends into high performing hair tools, ensuring all products meet our standards for quality and brand authenticity.

The ideal candidate will drive the product lifecycle from initial design and testing to launch readiness. With a focus on technical innovation and efficient project management, you will oversee contract manufacturing partnerships and maintain product integrity across all global markets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Product Development

  • Merge knowledge of customer trends and state of the art technologies to create meaningful and high-performing products which empower customers to feel their most authentic and beautiful selves.

  • Drive all stages of product & packaging development, from design, development and testing to launch readiness with marketing & operations, monitoring development against development timeline milestones and updating project status along the way.

  • Test and scrutinize development samples and prototypes for design, quality and performance, to ensure that the product and packaging exceeds customer expectations. 

  • Populate product databases with product related documents generated both by the company and vendors such as product briefs, bill of materials, artwork, quotes, and ingredient lists. 

  • Identify and manage contract manufacturing partners to ensure products meet or exceed performance and cost expectations as well as development timelines met.

  • Implement and manage product changes as needed, including any changes to features, materials, ingredients, vendors, or specification. 

  • Partner with Education and Customer Experience teams to extend product knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance

  • Manage and improve Integra's product compliance database to ensure Integra remains compliant.

  • Register products with regulatory agencies in existing and new markets.

  • Partner with outside counsel to ensure depth and scope of compliance knowledge and stay abreast of evolving regulations, standards, and guidelines related to beauty tools and products in the US and international markets. 

  • Manage compliance-related document audit process. Test and report on the success of document compliance. Include documentation related to formulation, safety data sheets, test reports, ingredient analysis, labels, warnings, and claims. 

  • Provide compliance training and communication to the company as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support operations with product quality issues as identified.

  • Support creative department in development of packaging design and artwork

  • Must be willing to test products developed

  • Travel as required

  • Other duties including support of other product categories as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in materials, operations, engineering, economics, art, design, creative or any related field.

  • Must have a minimum 5 years professional experience, at least 3 years in beauty products.

  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and thrives within a team environment.

  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.

  • Previous brand and/or supply chain experience.

  • Readiness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win.

  • A track record of success in driving business results.

  • Demonstrated experience in education and providing how-to knowledge to end users of created products.

  • Is a self-starter.

  • Determined to delight the customer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in materials, operations, engineering, economics, art, design, creative or any related field.

  • Previous Cosmetology experience

  • Previous hands-on color cosmetics development experience

  • Cross-functional leadership/project management experience

  • Team leadership experience

  • Experience with presentations to senior leadership

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, entrepreneurial environment that requires the high initiative and ability to self-prioritize business tasks
