Position Summary
This position will design and develop tooling that leverages WebAssmply (Wasm) implementations within F5 data planes. A successful candidate values developer and customer experience and can connect that to technical decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new developer tooling, from concept to production

  • Aid product development teams developing features using this tooling to improve the implementation

  • Profile and optimize performance

  • Help set expectations with software, architecture, and hardware stakeholders

  • Work with geographically distributed compiler, architecture and application teams to oversee improvements and problem resolutions

Qualifications
  • 6-8 years of prior software development work experience or related.
  • Experience with WebAssembly highly desirable

  • Several years of experience developing for proxy/load balancing/networking use cases in a significant commercial or open-source context

  • Background shipping in several paradigms such as SaaS, deployed software, customer deployed infrastructure, etc.

  • Proficiency in a variety of development styles and languages, both static and dynamic

  • Strong design and analytical skills in tooling and developer experience

  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills

  • Strong background in software engineering principles with a focus on crafting robust and maintainable solutions to challenging problems

  • Good communication and documentation skills
