What is a Salesforce Full Stack Developer?

A Salesforce Full Stack Developer is a professional skilled in both the front-end and back-end development within the Salesforce platform. They design, build, and maintain custom applications using Salesforce technologies like Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integrations with other systems. Their responsibilities include creating user interfaces, developing server-side logic, and ensuring seamless data flow between Salesforce and external platforms. This role requires a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, database management, and both declarative and programmatic customization.

What are some common challenges faced by Salesforce Full Stack Developers when integrating custom applications with existing Salesforce solutions?

Salesforce Full Stack Developers often encounter challenges related to data consistency, security permissions, and system limitations when integrating custom applications with Salesforce. Ensuring seamless communication between custom code (like Lightning Components or Apex) and Salesforce's managed platform requires a strong understanding of Salesforce APIs and governor limits. To thrive as a Salesforce Full Stack Developer, you need expertise in Salesforce development, proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, and a strong understanding of CRM concepts, usually supported by Salesforce certifications. Familiarity with Salesforce DX, version control systems like Git, and integrated development environments (IDEs) such as Visual Studio Code is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and adaptability help developers collaborate with stakeholders and respond to rapidly changing business needs. These competencies ensure scalable, efficient solutions that align with organizational goals and enhance the overall Salesforce platform experience.

  • Apply prompt engineering best practices for clean, production-ready AI-generated code
  • Remediate AI-generated code smells and inconsistencies before delivery
  • Integrate Salesforce Einstein AI, Agentforce, and GenAI-enabled flows into workflows
  • Contribute to AI efficiency benchmarks (velocity gains, UI delivery acceleration, sprint throughput improvements)
Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Develop solutions adhering to Salesforce governance standards (permission sets, profiles, sharing models)
  • Ensure compliance with NERC and utility-sector regulatory standards
  • Support security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and AppExchange product evaluations
