Position Overview
We are seeking a Contract Pharmacist for a part-time, on-site assignment in Engelhard, North Carolina, lasting 6-8 weeks beginning June 22, 2026.
The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring medication therapies, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role also requires adherence to all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely.
Counsel patients regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations when necessary.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Maintain accurate records and pharmacy documentation.
Promote safe and effective medication management practices.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Current and active North Carolina Pharmacist License (required).
Experience working in a 340B Pharmacy and/or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
