Job description

Primary Duties

  • Provide leadership to operations executives and team members in meeting or exceeding contract performance requirements. Ensure adequate staffing, systems and processes are in place.
  • Develop strategic long-range plans to achieve strategic objectives while creating and managing the portfolio's fiscal operating and capital budget and expenses.
  • In partnership with business development function, drive growth of contract operations for the corporation. Leverage knowledge, experience, and existing customer base to instill a growth mindset within operations staff. Develop functional expertise within staff and other resources to capture new business.
  • Deliver the highest levels of customer service within our operations. Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure expected service levels are exceeded. Thoughtfully leverage relationships to position the corporation for future growth.
  • Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate as appropriate with staff at SourceAmerica and the AbilityOne Commission within operational parameters and to continue to position the corporation as a leader in the AbilityOne Program.
  • Coordinate with Risk and Compliance and Rehabilitation departments to ensure AbilityOne compliance requirements are met or exceeded. Continue to enhance awareness and accountability for these requirements across contract teams.
  • Ensure strong partnership and collaboration with Human Resources, Rehabilitation and Business Development departments.
  • Ensure strong partnership with Contract Administration function to safeguard the corporation and properly manage contract, operational, and financial risk.
  • Drive continued development of staff across teams to ensure pipeline of talent within the organization.
  • Lead the development of plans for the most efficient use of all operational employees. Determine responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive system of service and quality control standards across operations.
  • Develop and implement budget and cost controls for ServiceSource operations. Monitor project programmatic and financial performance; implement strategies and actions to modify, maintain and enhance programmatic outcomes.
  • Review operating reports and direct the resolution of operational problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Supervise, train and ensure that all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitor and review annual project budgets, periodic forecasts and financial results.
  • Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in business management (MBA) or related technical field required. Master's degree in business management (MBA) or related technical field is preferred. A degree can be substituted with extensive government contracting and outsourcing experience.
  • Fifteen years' experience in supervision and management of professional staff and a record of progressively more responsible management positions is preferred.
  • Ten years' experience in Government Contracting, pricing and administration is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience with organizational development and customer outsourcing is preferred.
  • Ten years' experience in Facilities Operations and Maintenance and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License is strongly preferred.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain is required.

  • A skilled negotiator with demonstrated ability to fully represent ServiceSource's interests to external customers.
  • A well-rounded knowledge of government and commercial outsourcing service contracting environments.
  • Knowledge of mail services, logistics, document management and other administrative support services is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Food Service operations is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and prepare operating and contractual documents
  • Ability to work effectively as a supervisor and peer to accomplish necessary work.
  • Effective internal and external customer relations skills; ability to participate in and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries, negotiations, complaints, and team activities.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to the Board or other stakeholder groups.
  • Requires personal computer (PC) knowledge leading to proficiency in various software and/or spreadsheet operations
