Job description

HGA is seeking an Operations and Logistics Director to support client operations in Texas City, TX. This leadership role oversees the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an ammonia production facility, including storage and logistics activities. The position serves as the primary liaison between the owner and contract operations teams, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily operations of an ammonia production facility, storage assets, and logistics functions
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant performance in alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary interface between contract operations personnel and ownership, driving clear communication and accountability
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency, uptime, and cost performance
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational challenges, applying strong technical and analytical skills
  • Utilize risk-based decision-making to support operational priorities and business needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, logistics, and commercial stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations and supply chain activities
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all environmental, health, and safety policies
  • Report directly to the General Manager
Required Qualifications
