Job description

This is contingent upon award. However, this contract is due to be awarded by the end of this month with anticipated start dates as early as the second week of March. This will be a years long project. There may be SOME remote work allowed but you should be comfortable working onsite at the DoJ customer location.

Job Description:

The IT Operations Manager will play a critical role in synchronizing and directing the operations and activities for the IT enterprise environment, ensuring optimal performance and resilience. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of tasks, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that enterprise infrastructure support services, including on-premises and cloud-based solutions, are delivered effectively. The IT Operations Manager must maintain strict adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and high-quality standards while employing a disciplined program management methodology. This role demands proactive communication with the Government Task Managers (GTMs) and requires up-to-date professional certifications relevant to the scope of work. Reporting to the contract's Program Manager, the IT Operations Manager must ensure project oversight, and quality assurance, and integrate contract staff efforts across distinct project areas to deliver a cohesive support structure to the Government.

Note: Position is contingent on contract award.

Requirements:
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must possess active Pubic Trust Clearance.
  • This position is onsite at designated DOJ locations.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' related experience or Master's Degree with 8 years' related experience.
  • Experience managing enterprise IT projects, preferably within a government contracting environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Excellent project management capabilities with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity and transparency in all interactions.
  • Proficient in multi-disciplinary program management methodologies.
  • Ability to maintain professional certifications relevant to the assigned work.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional technical teams.

  • Liaise with key personnel, such as system engineers, network engineers, and technical support specialists, to ensure integrated support is provided.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with GTMs and the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) regarding project status and deliverables.
  • Manage personnel by tracking project progress and performance, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Lead a disciplined program management approach encompassing risk management, configuration management, and quality assurance.
  • Provide comprehensive monthly status reports, oversee the quality assurance of the project, and configure management and security management as applied to the task order.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests swiftly, prepare specialized reports as necessary, and provide written minutes from task-specific meetings.
