Accountabilities in this role:


Reporting to the Director, NA QTC Contracts Operations and Governance, GBS (Global Business Solutions), this position provides strong analytical and technical support to the Contract Operations team, who manage pricing and membership for GPO (National/Regional) and Local consumable agreements for the US. This position includes the development and implementation of analytical tools used to evaluate and align customer pricing and membership, through automated techniques. Working in partnership and collaboration within the Contract Operations Service Line & IT, this position will provide expertise to drive internal operating efficiencies through system and process enhancements that maximize operating results, revenue and profitability.

The Sr. Analyst is responsible for maintaining tools and processes, promoting standardization and best practices to improve team efficiency. They ensure US Contract Operations pricing and membership strategies are implemented correctly and work with cross-functional teams to deliver tools that enable accurate customer pricing connections triggered from Distributor Chargebacks and new account adds, while optimizing outcomes and minimizing financial risk.

  • This position will not have any direct reports but will directly influence the results of the Contract Operations team through the deployment and support of best practice processes and analytic tools.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage technical tools used to automate GPO (National/Regional) and Local (when applicable) agreement membership/pricing connections.
  • Coordinate with IT and other GBS Operations pillars to develop and deploy solutions that support Contract Operations membership strategies and policies.
  • Participate in any internal GPO RFP discussion to ensure that the final agreement is capable of being executed as it relates to BD's system, policy, market segment grouping, tier movement and notification requirements.
  • Document all business requirements related to GPO membership at time of GPO renewals (CE Playbook)
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining MS Access based tiering models for new contract membership (pre-slot) tiering, and the connections of new members as they are received in chargeback submissions.
  • Responsible for ensuring weekly processing of MS databases to resolve chargeback errors relating to missing customer contract connections.
  • Responsible for maintaining databases; updating data tables with new contracts and adjustments to existing contracts to properly tier members throughout duration of the contract.
  • Responsible for working with contract operations team in maintaining/troubleshooting access databases
  • Maintain training material (related to automated tools/applications) and update desktop procedures to ensure standard team practices adhere to best practice efficiency and accuracy
  • Support Director with industry organizations and initiatives to develop and drive best industry practices to increase pricing accuracy, eliminate errors and streamline processes
  • Lead and facilitate key projects assigned by leadership as it relates to GPO membership audits
  • Collaborate with our Vistex and other IT partners to ensure the business requirements are supported while ensuring technological functionality and performance appropriately supports contracting activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise and drive the design and implementation of solutions that improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency for team member business process operations
  • Define and enforce policies, procedures, and processes to harmonize all aspects of contract execution operations, with appropriate flexibility to meet customer/market needs and dynamics
  • Identify and understand key areas of change management with the ability to recognize and communicate the impact of change to Contract Execution functional teams
  • Collaborate with our key business stakeholders to initiate business process continuous improvement activities, conduct root cause analysis, and determine error prevention solutions,
  • Inspire and empower the team to act with speed, agility and accountability enabling them to achieve excellence
  • Provide guidance and coaching to realize benefits with solution deployments and process improvements

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • 3+ years' experience in commercial contract operations, analytics, finance, policy and process development and continuous improvement activities required
  • 3+ years experience demonstrated in developing, deploying, and supporting analytic and technical solutions required
  • Strong technical skills in applications such as MS Access, Excel, PowerBI, and Vistex SAP ERP systems along with analytics and reporting solutions experience required
  • General understanding of commercial contract operations management
  • Ability to stimulate and enable innovative thinking to drive change and effectiveness through high automation and process excellence
  • Ability to collaborate with IT, Commercial Analytics, Finance, and others to drive best in class analytic solutions for contract operations efficiency, timeliness and accuracy
  • Analytical problem solver with business acumen. Able to evaluate key business drivers and develop clear solution recommendations
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive team results
  • Ability to understand, organize and deliver on critical business requirements to drive solutions that advance our Contract Operations capabilities and achieve operational goals
  • Strong communications and change management experience
  • Proven ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization.
