Job description

We are seeking a Design and Manufacturing Operations Director to serve as the primary interface between our internal global teams and our clients. This role leads the successful delivery of design and manufacturing across Aerospace, Rocket Propulsion, Automotive, and other related industries.
While the role operates in a remote environment, candidates must be based in the Seattle, WA area to support client engagement.
You will be accountable for client success, revenue growth, contract execution, schedule adherence, and technical alignment while operating within a high-performance, commercial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary lead for clients and programs assigned
  • Develop client relationships that provide insights and bid opportunities for the organization
  • Own program coordination from bid to contract award, including delivery and production phases
  • Develop and manage detailed program schedules aligned to customer milestones
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client technical requirements, specifications, and quality
  • Lead regular program reviews with client stakeholders
  • Drive proactive risk identification and resolution
  • Manage contract scope, change orders, and commercial terms
  • Oversee supplier and sub-tier vendor performance
  • Support hardware builds, qualification testing, and delivery readiness
  • Maintain adherence to compliance requirements (ITAR, export controls)
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 7+ years of program/project management experience in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Experience working as a supplier/vendor to major aerospace customers
  • Proven ability managing complex hardware programs
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with production ramp and scaling
Travel and Work Requirements:
  • Remote position with required residency in Seattle, WA area with the ability to travel 40% of the time.
