Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Looker Developer in Edison, NJ.
Summary:
We are seeking a Looker Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable data models and dashboards that support business insights and decision-making. This role will collaborate closely with data and analytics teams to deliver high-quality reporting solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain Looker data models (LookML)
* Design, build, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports
* Establish and enforce LookML coding standards and best practices
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions
* Create and maintain technical documentation for development processes
* Support and train end users on dashboards and reporting tools
* Deliver reporting solutions using Agile/Scrum methodologies
* Ensure high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions
* Perform additional duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
* 2+ years of experience as a Looker Developer or similar BI role
* Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
* Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
* Experience working with healthcare or regulated industry data
* Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
* Strong expertise in LookML and Looker development
* Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
* Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
