Contract insurance adjusters are professionals who work independently or through third-party firms to investigate and assess insurance claims on behalf of insurance companies. Unlike staff adjusters, who are direct employees, contract adjusters are hired on a temporary or project basis, often during periods of high claim volume or for specialized cases. Their role helps ensure that insurance claims are processed efficiently and fairly, especially during catastrophic events or in areas with staffing shortages.
