JOB SUMMARY:
Position Summary
The Director, Global Logistics Transformation, is responsible for defining and executing the strategic roadmap for Circle K's global fuel distribution network. This role serves as the organization's primary leader for End-to-End (E2E) supply chain optimization, transportation network design, logistics transformation, and value realization initiatives.
The position is accountable for identifying, modeling, and implementing opportunities that improve fuel margin, enhance supply reliability, reduce cost-to-serve, and optimize transportation performance across North America and Europe.
As the owner of the Global E2E Logistics Strategy, this leader will work across Supply, Commercial, Logistics, Analytics, Technology, Procurement, and Operations teams to continuously challenge existing supply chain structures and develop innovative solutions that improve service, efficiency, and profitability.
The Director will lead strategic network optimization initiatives, transportation sourcing strategies, logistics technology transformation, and master data governance while ensuring alignment with the company's long-term commercial and operational objectives.
This role reports directly to the Senior Director / Global Head of Distribution Support and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership on transportation strategy, fuel sourcing optimization, and logistics transformation investments.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Network Strategy & Optimization
  • Own the Global End-to-End (E2E) fuel supply chain mapping process across North America and Europe.
  • Continuously evaluate and redesign transportation networks to maximize fuel margin, supply flexibility, and operational resilience.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sourcing, terminal utilization, transportation routing, and supply allocation.
  • Develop and maintain strategic network models that support commercial decision-making and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead market assessments and scenario planning to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
  • Establish and maintain governance around transportation lanes, terminal matrices, and network design standards.

Logistics Transformation & Innovation
  • Develop and execute the Global Logistics Transformation roadmap.
  • Partner with Technology, Analytics, and Supply teams to identify and implement automation opportunities across logistics processes.
  • Lead business requirements and strategic direction for transportation systems, optimization tools, and network planning technologies.
  • Drive adoption of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, predictive modeling, and automation capabilities within logistics operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, visibility, and decision-making.

Transportation Strategy & Procurement Support
  • Lead transportation network analysis supporting carrier sourcing and contract award decisions.
  • Provide executive recommendations on transportation RFP strategies and market positioning.
  • Analyze carrier performance, market trends, and transportation economics to optimize sourcing decisions.
  • Support contract negotiations through strategic cost modeling and network analysis.
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply teams to identify and capture transportation savings opportunities.

Fuel Margin & Value Realization
  • Identify and deliver initiatives that directly improve fuel margin, transportation efficiency, and cost of goods sold.
  • Establish measurable value targets and ensure realization through disciplined project execution.
  • Develop business cases for transformation investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor performance against financial objectives and communicate progress to executive leadership.

Data Governance & Master Data Management
  • Serve as executive owner for transportation-related master data governance.
  • Ensure data integrity across terminals, carriers, transportation lanes, sourcing points, and logistics systems.
  • Establish controls and governance processes supporting optimization and execution activities.
  • Drive standardization across regions to improve reporting accuracy and decision quality.

Executive Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Fuel Supply, Logistics Operations, Optimization & Analytics, Commercial, Procurement, and Technology leaders.
  • Present recommendations, business cases, and transformation updates to executive leadership teams.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions focused on transportation network performance and future-state design.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of complex global initiatives.
  • Influence organizational priorities through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Research, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Professional Certifications
The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following professional certifications:
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Lean Management Certification
  • Professional certifications in Network Optimization, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Strategy are considered an asset.

Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, fuel distribution, network design, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years leading strategic transformation initiatives and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience developing business cases and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable financial results through optimization and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with transportation sourcing, carrier management, and logistics procurement strategies preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and complex supply chain networks preferred.
