Job Summary:

Envestnet is building a dedicated integration platform function to serve as the enterprise integration spine for Financial Systems. As Director of Integration & Workato Platform, you will own the Workato iPaaS platform — a greenfield capability currently managed by the Head of Financial Systems — and build it into a scalable, governed integration center of excellence. This is not a governance-only role: you will lead a team of 5 engineers, design integration architecture across all finance systems, and deliver solutions that enable every business pillar (Revenue, P2P, Close, Analytics) to move at speed. You report directly to the Head of Financial Systems as a peer to the other directors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own Workato platform strategy, governance, standards, and scalability roadmap
  • Define enterprise integration architecture — which systems connect to which, API standards, data contracts
  • Lead data flow governance — real-time vs. batch decisions, data quality thresholds, data freshness SLAs
  • Build and manage the integration engineering team (Workato engineers, integration engineers, data engineers)
  • Design and deliver integration solutions for cross-pillar needs (billing consolidation, AP automation, FCCS flows, analytics pipelines)
  • Establish Workato Center of Excellence (COE) — recipes, connectors, monitoring, error handling standards
  • Enable all business pillars: Revenue needs billing integrations, Close needs consolidation flows, P2P needs AP automation — your team delivers
  • Coach and mentor engineers, establish coding standards and best practices for the Workato platform
  • Partner with IT on infrastructure, security, and API management

What You'll Build

Year 1:

  • Establish Workato platform governance and engineering standards
  • Deliver 5+ new production integrations across finance pillars
  • Define and enforce data quality SLAs for all integration flows
  • Build the integration engineering team to full capacity

Year 2+:

  • Deliver 10+ new integrations per year as platform matures
  • Achieve less than 1% integration failure rate across all flows
  • Platform handles 80%+ of cross-system data movement in Financial Systems
  • Workato COE recognized as shared backbone enabling all finance pillars

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise integration, iPaaS platforms, or integration architecture
  • Hands-on expertise with Workato, MuleSoft, or comparable iPaaS platform
  • Strong integration architecture skills — API design, data contracts, event-driven patterns
  • Experience building and leading integration engineering teams (5+ engineers)
  • Understanding of finance/ERP systems and data flows (Oracle Fusion, billing platforms, data warehouses)
  • Both strategic and hands-on — able to design architecture AND build solutions alongside the team
  • Excellent stakeholder management — ability to prioritize competing demands from multiple business pillars

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workato certification or deep platform expertise
  • Experience standing up integration Centers of Excellence in enterprise environments
  • Background in finance systems integration (ERP, billing, consolidation, data warehouse)
  • Experience with Snowflake, cloud data platforms, or modern data stack
  • Financial services or wealth management industry experience
  • Big 4 consulting or enterprise finance transformation background

Your Team:

  • You will build and lead the largest team in Financial Systems — the integration platform that enables every other pillar:
  • Workato Platform Engineer (US) — Workato recipe development, platform administration, automation expertise
  • Integration Engineers (2-3, US/Remote) — business system connectors, API integrations, workflow design
  • Senior Data Engineer (India) — data pipeline architecture, ETL/ELT design, data quality validation

Envestnet:

  • Be a member of an innovative and industry leading financial technology and solutions company
  • Competitive Compensation/Total Reward Packages that include:
    • Health Benefits (Health/Dental/Vision)
    • Paid Time Off (PTO) & Volunteer Time Off (VTO)
    • 401K – Company Match
    • Annual Bonus Incentives
    • Parental Stipend
    • Tuition Reimbursement
    • Student Debt Program
    • Charitable Match
    • Wellness Program

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000 to $176,000.

Envestnet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
