Work Arrangement: 3 days per week onsiteAbout the Role

We are seeking a Data Integration Engineer to join the Enterprise Solutions team and play a critical role in advancing the organization's cloud-based data platform. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Solutions, this position will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data integration solutions across the organization, with a primary focus on Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and the broader Azure Cloud ecosystem.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants ownership and influence. The successful candidate will help shape the future data landscape, modernize and expand cloud-based integrations, and contribute to the architecture and direction of the company's data platform. Unlike previous iterations of the role that focused heavily on maintaining legacy integrations, this position will be focused on building and optimizing modern cloud-based ETL solutions and helping drive continued investment in Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and AI-enabled technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop integration solutions by understanding business requirements, data sources, and target systems.
  • Build, configure, and maintain ETL/ELT processes that extract, transform, and load data between various systems and cloud environments.
  • Develop and support data integration processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, APIs, SFTP, JSON, XML, and other common integration technologies.
  • Create and maintain integrations from ERP systems and other enterprise applications into centralized data platforms and data warehouses.
  • Design and maintain databases, write complex SQL queries, and support data movement across multiple systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, developers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency through validation processes and adherence to business rules.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize integration workflows, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including data mappings, workflows, configurations, and integration processes.
  • Support and enhance integrations involving enterprise applications such as Workday, Medius, and other business systems.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to support reporting, analytics, and Microsoft Fabric initiatives.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices related to Azure cloud services, data integration, and enterprise architecture.
  • Contribute to the ongoing modernization of the organization's cloud data platform and future-state architecture.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data integration, ETL development, data engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Azure SQL Database
    • Azure Blob Storage
    • Microsoft Azure Cloud services
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries from scratch.
  • Experience developing and supporting integrations utilizing:
    • REST APIs
    • SFTP
    • JSON
    • XML
    • Flat files
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines and integration workflows.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and integration best practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse architectures, or modern cloud analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and business intelligence environments.
  • Experience integrating with ERP systems, Workday, Medius, or other enterprise applications.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled development tools and automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, middleware technologies, and cloud architecture principles.
