Job description

Ataccama is the agentic data trust company. Organizations worldwide rely on Ataccama ONE, the agentic data trust platform, to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and trusted for every decision and system. Powered by the ONE AI Agent, Ataccama ONE brings autonomy to data quality and governance, continuously monitoring, improving, and explaining the reliability of data across complex enterprise and multi-agent environments. At the core of the platform is Ataccama's market-leading data quality, with modules built around it to unify data quality monitoring, catalog, lineage, observability, and reference data management, ensuring data is consistent and explainable. This quality-first foundation makes data the engine of trust, powering AI, analytics, and operations with confidence.
Recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Augmented Data Quality and positioned furthest in Completeness of Vision, as well as a Leader in the 2026 Forrester Wave for Data Quality Solutions, Ataccama continues to set the standard for enterprise-grade data trust.
At Ataccama, culture isn't a perk - it's how we work. We're proud to be recognized as a 2026 Boston Business Journal Best Places to Work company, where 100% of employees are highly engaged and "collaborative" is the word our people use to describe us.
Our people are located across the globe. They succeed by collaborating as a team and thrive in our company culture defined by these core values:
Challenging Fun
ONE Team
Customer Centric
Candid and Caring
Aim High

Ataccama's Legal team is a small but mighty group supporting a fast-growing, global enterprise software company. We partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product to close deals, navigate complex customer relationships, and protect the business. We're looking for a commercial contracts contractor to drive our day-to-day contract workflow-with the flexibility to surge capacity when the end of quarter hits.
Your Challenge
You will be a primary owner of Ataccama's commercial contract pipeline on a contractor basis, working within a lean Legal team that punches well above its weight. Your core focus is commercial agreements-keeping deals moving, maintaining quality, and absorbing the surge that comes with every quarter-end push. You'll work closely with Legal (supporting our General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel), Sales, and Customer Success and will operate primarily in Linksquares (our CLM), Google Drive, Slack, and Docusign.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, Order Forms, SOWs, Evaluation Agreements, NDAs, and DPAs
  • Manage redlines on customer paper and Ataccama standard templates, protecting key commercial terms while keeping deals moving
  • Own the contract lifecycle in Linksquares, including template-based drafting and Docusign signature management, keeping records accurate and up to date
  • Advise Sales and Customer Success on contract-related questions, escalating to senior Legal counsel as appropriate
  • Support third-party vendor and partner agreement reviews, including subcontractor, reseller, and OEM arrangements
  • Ramp up availability during quarter-end pushes to absorb increased contract volume and work alongside the Legal team to clear the pipeline
  • Assist with material contract review projects and due diligence requests on an as-needed basis
Is This You?
  • JD or equivalent legal qualification, with at least 3-5 years of commercial contracts experience in-house or at a law firm
  • Solid, hands-on experience with enterprise SaaS or software licensing agreements-you know your way around an MSA, DPA, and Order Form without needing much hand-holding
  • Familiarity with data privacy concepts and comfort reviewing and negotiating data processing addenda
  • Strong commercial instincts-you know where to hold firm on a redline and where to be pragmatic to get a deal across the line
  • Ability to work independently and manage a concurrent pipeline of matters with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to increase availability in the final weeks of each quarter when deal volume surges
  • Experience with a CLM platform and comfort managing signature workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders in Sales and Customer Success
Nice to Have
  • Prior experience in enterprise data, analytics, or AI software-familiarity with data quality, governance, or agentic use cases is a bonus
  • Experience negotiating agreements with large enterprise customers in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or utilities
  • Exposure to partner, reseller, or OEM contracting structures

At Ataccama, our core values are Candid & Caring, so we are upfront about our process and details that are important to you. We sometimes use AI tools to help us with things like reviewing applications, taking notes from screening conversations, scheduling interviews, or supporting assessments. These tools make the process smoother and fairer - but don't worry, they never make the final decision. Every hiring decision is made by our Talent Acquisition Partners and Hiring Managers, with AI only acting as a helpful assistant. We believe technology should support the process, not replace the human touch. We currently use AI-assisted tools - Metaview for interview notes and Lever Talent Fit to help highlight key experience.

This is a contractor engagement with $120-150/hour, depending on the experience, with an average workload of approximately 42 hours per month, subject to fluctuation based on business needs.
