Job description

Data Integration Analyst

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Data Integration Analyst to sit at the intersection of business, data engineering, and data governance. This role will be in Seattle, Washington, Arlington, Virginia, El Segundo, California, Charleston, South Carolina, Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, or Saint Louis, Missouri.

This role will partner with cross-functional teams to support the identification, acquisition, and delivery of data assets aligned with Digital Launch Pad (DLP) objectives. The analyst will collaborate closely with data SMEs, software developers, data scientists, and the Lead Data Systems Engineer to procure, assess, and operationalize data sets while ensuring compliance with enterprise data security, governance, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will bridge business needs and technical data solutions by gathering requirements, coordinating data sourcing efforts, and supporting the lifecycle of data products and integrations. This person will help translate stakeholder objectives into actionable data requirements, document data flows and dependencies, and support onboarding and operational readiness of data assets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with data SMEs, developers, and data scientists to define, refine, and validate data requirements.
  • Work closely with the Lead Data Systems Engineer to support procurement, onboarding, and integration of internal and external data sources.
  • Document data requirements, data flows, data dependencies, and lineage for data products and integrations.
  • Coordinate and manage data sourcing activities, including discovery, access requests, and data sharing agreements as required.
  • Ensure data assets and integrations comply with enterprise data governance, security, and privacy policies.
  • Drive rapid onboarding of enterprise data into analytics platforms by building strong relationships with data owners, defining data contracts, and accelerating proof-of-concept use cases across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a data-oriented role (data analyst, data integration, data operations, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into data requirements.
  • Operates with minimal direction and follows through despite resistance or ambiguity.
  • Strong ownership mindset and able to move fast with imperfect information.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry or equivalent).
  • Understands end-to-end data flow across complex organizations.
  • Familiarity with ontology/modeling artifacts or data catalog technologies.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, or aerospace & defense domains.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)
