Job Description:
Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We are currently seeking a full-time, on-siteAdministrative Clerk, Senior in the Division of Continuing Studies-Training Outreach. This position serves as the front-line person for the Division of Continuing Studies and assists with communication flowing in and out of the division and facilitating non-credit offerings. The pay for this position is $18.23/hr.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Supports the online department with providing support to online instructors and assist with the online regulatory body NC-SARA.
  • Support and routing for DCS: calls, emails, and visitors front-line for TO, Online, SBDC, and Graduate Studies. Communications with instructors and students for TO.
  • LTL and Online TA Hiring requests and processing and Faculty contract assembly and signing lead.
  • Backup to Graduate, Online, and Training Outreach Dept. emails and calls. Support other roles in heavy load times.
  • Events and space coordination in DCS. Classroom and conference room reservations for all DCS events and TO courses. Room setup as needed.
  • Graduate administrative tasks (fee satisfactions). Payment processing for TO classes and bi-weekly balancing with business office.
  • Class scheduling - Online courses. Procure materials for TO courses and assist with operations and implementation of courses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma/GED.
  • 3 years of office experience required.
  • Skills in Banner or appropriate SIS required.
  • Skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database maintenance and survey software.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, creative and cooperative team environment essential; effective interpersonal, oral/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly and support stakeholders with use.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a university environment.
