Role : Snowflake Administrator
 
Duration : Long Term Contract 
 
Location : Hybrid 3 days in week ( Bellevue, WA) 
 
Job discerption: 
 
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator to lead the setup, administration, and operational excellence of our Snowflake Data Cloud environment. This role will focus on laying a strong foundation for Snowflake usage, enabling seamless data onboarding, and implementing robust monitoring and performance optimization practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Snowflake architecture and a deep understanding of enterprise data platform operations and governance.
 
Key Responsibilities:  Snowflake Environment Setup & Administration
 
• Design, implement, and manage core Snowflake components including virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and roles.
• Enforce RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), manage user provisioning, and implement data security standards.
• Establish naming conventions, object tagging, and organizational best practices for scalable platform growth. Data Onboarding & Integration
• Collaborate with data engineering teams and source system owners to onboard data from various sources (cloud storage, databases, APIs, etc.).
• Ensure ETL/ELT pipelines are optimized for performance, governance, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion templates, standards, and documentation. Monitoring, Performance & Optimization
• Configure and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards (e.g., Snowflake Resource Monitors, CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize compute usage and manage cost efficiency.
• Implement alerts, anomaly detection, and support SLAs for data and system health.
• Drive platform maturity via automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
