Job description

We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Gardener to support the care and maintenance of our courtyard garden on a part-time, contract (1099) basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on gardening and has experience with small-scale edible gardens.

Schedule
  • Approximately 1 day per week (2-3 hours per visit)
  • Flexible scheduling based on availability
Key Responsibilities
  • Harvest vegetables, herbs, and fruit from:
    • Three raised garden beds
    • Herb garden
    • Approximately a dozen fruit trees
  • Wash, prepare, and bag harvested items for distribution
  • Provide guidance on:
    • Seasonal planting schedules
    • Crop rotation and soil health
  • Recommend plant replacements and new plantings as needed
  • Perform light planting and garden upkeep to maintain productivity and health
Qualifications
  • Prior gardening or horticulture experience preferred
