In support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and the Regional NetworkEnterprise Center for the National Capital Region (RNEC-NCR), we are currently seeking aTelecommunications Specialist II (Intermediate Level) with a minimum of five (5) years' experience. The customer is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist II to implement Senior Telecommunications Specialist guidance for designing, developing and testing telecommunications software solutions, reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining the telecommunications system, training customers on telecommunications features and functionality, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing telecommunications equipment, examining new services offered by vendors and making recommendations to government stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a Secret security clearance. Must be IAT-II certified (Network Environments). Must have excellent communication skills (oral and written to adequately conduct training, interact with the government customer and to accommodate possible interactions with senior government officials.
Preferred certifications are: BICSI Master Instructor or BICSI Certifications in Fiber, Broadband and FTTx, FOA (Fiber Optic Association) - Certified FiberOptic Technician Specialist and Instructor certification or ETA Fiber Optic Certifications in FTx (antenna, curb, home and DAS), Train the Trainer certified in Fiber Optics, OSHA 30/500/501 certified in Construction (one of these options), Network+, Security+, A certification (CompTIA).
Must possess a current Secret Clearance or higher.
