Work Flexibility: Remote
What you will do
As Sourcing Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Remote), you'll play a pivotal role in driving innovation, efficiency, and value across our global supply base for the Finished Good Operations. This is a high-impact position with direct visibility to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You will lead strategic sourcing initiatives across a defined supplier portfolio, driving excellence in service, quality, and cost. This is a remote role and the ideal candidate is in the central or eastern time zone.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing Execution: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with Stryker's mission and global category goals, optimizing supplier performance across service, quality, and cost.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Set strategic direction for key supplier partnerships. Serve as the escalation point for supplier issues, including quality concerns, dispute resolution, and commercial implications of product field actions.
  • Supplier Development: Drive continuous improvement in supplier capabilities to meet both short-term and long-term business needs.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead global sourcing projects and strategic initiatives beyond the sourcing function, including program management efforts.
  • Executive Communication: Engage confidently with senior leadership and executive stakeholders across Stryker and supplier organizations.

What you need
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management or related field
  • 8 years in Supply Management with focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development
  • Knowledge and application of supplier contract strategy, negotiations, contractual terms, and contract administration
  • Knowledge of supplier processes and supply chain risk factors including experience in assessing and mitigating risk in the supply base
  • Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and services
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across multiple functions and levels both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies & cost reduction methodologies
  • Experience with supplier metrics & measurement methodologies and supporting systems

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating in a highly regulated industry. Medical Device industry sourcing and supplier management experience
  • International sourcing and supplier management experience
  • Project management experince

  • US5: $107,700 - $179,600 USD Annual
  • US10: $112,900 - $188,100 USD Annual
  • US15: $118,000 - $196,600 USD Annual
  • US20: $123,100 - $205,200 USD Annual
  • US30: $133,400 - $222,300 USD Annual
