Job description

If so, we invite you to explore an exciting opportunity for you to work as a full-time (40hrs/wk.) Remote Medicaid Specialist where your work directly supports positive outcomes for local populations.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Medicaid Specialist you will act as the primary ISK liaison with MDHHS Shared Eligibility Specialist and obtain information for reasons Medicaid coverage ended, updating clinicians/primary programs via the Medicaid Teams Channel, Medicaid Tracking workbook(s), and/or email.  You will implement policies, procedures and instructions for agency approved practices regarding Medicaid enrollment, including Medicaid Spenddown.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating data collection and reporting for loss of Medicaid and Spenddown deductible plans, managing Medicaid benefit information to assist in gaining/recouping loss of Medicaid and performing data entry on Medicaid Tracking workbook(s) to ensure workbook integrity.

This role is responsible for viewing GF claims provided by Financial Analyst to verify whether claims should be covered by Medicaid and providing feedback for the Financial Analyst. You will utilize knowledge of Medicaid rules to procedures and inquiries and maintain documentation electronically.

What We Require

You will have a High school Diploma/GED with minimum three years of experience with Medicaid, Medicare and/or Insurance billing.

Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management and e-mail.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in an effective and efficient manner.

Lived experience with behavioral health issues is also preferred.
