Summary/Objective

Arlon Graphics is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support our manufacturing facility in Placentia, CA. This role is critical to driving continuous improvement, supporting production and maintenance operations, and ensuring the reliability and advancement of plant systems.


The Project Engineer will provide technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems while leading projects, managing contractors and vendors, and coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. This position requires strong engineering knowledge, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a hands-on approach to driving projects and improvements from concept through completion.


Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead engineering projects from planning through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and safety standards are met 
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams in a 24/7 production environment 
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and status reports 


Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process, equipment, and system improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability 
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives from concept through execution and results validation 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive alignment and successful implementation 


Engineering & Technical Support

  • Design and implement improvements to industrial equipment and systems 
  • Analyze downtime data and recommend preventive measures and upgrades 
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to maintenance teams 


Maintenance & Reliability

  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities 
  • Lead root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment issues 
  • Assist with plant shutdown planning and execution 


Communication & Leadership

  • Serve as a key point of contact during critical projects and issues 
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams 
  • Develop documentation, including procedures, drawings, and training materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field 
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including experience working with vendors and managing contractors, timelines and costs.
  • Experience in project management within a manufacturing or industrial environment 
  • Strong background in continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 production setting 
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands; ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings 
  • CAD experience preferred 
  • Flexible schedule, including nights/weekends as needed 

Pay Transparency 

The current pay range for this position is between $100,000 - $120,000/year. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
