Field Manager (ITS) โ€“ Road & Infrastructure Division

Location: Pompano Beach / Fort Lauderdale, FL

Position Overview

Conti LLC is seeking a skilled Field Manager (FM) to support our Road & Infrastructure Division across Broward County and surrounding South Florida areas. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and traffic-related infrastructure on FDOT and municipal projects.

This is a hands-on field position requiring strong electrical, communications, and ITS systems experience, along with the ability to work safely in an outdoor construction environment year-round.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, integrate, and maintain ITS and traffic systems, including:

    • IP Cameras & Digital Video Systems (CCTV)
    • Dynamic Message Signs (DMS)
    • Vehicle Detection Systems (Radar, Microwave, Inductive Loop)
    • Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection (WWVD) Systems
    • Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) & Transit Signal Priority (TSP)
    • Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Systems (ATSC)
    • Edge Computing Devices and Field Network Equipment
    • Ramp Metering Systems
    • Fiber optic and wireless communications networks
  • Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting across:

    • Electrical wiring and circuits
    • Field hardware and control cabinets
    • Network and software-based systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair:

    • Ground-mounted and pole-mounted ITS cabinets
    • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
    • Electrical components and power distribution systems
  • Conduct underground utility locating and assist with system inventory tracking

  • Utilize manufacturer-specific software and tools for programming and diagnostics

  • Read and interpret plans, schematics, wiring diagrams, and FDOT standards

  • Operate and maintain aerial equipment, including bucket trucks and man lifts

  • Ensure all work complies with FDOT specifications, safety standards, and company procedures

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working with ITS, traffic signal systems, or roadway electrical systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of FDOT ITS infrastructure and standards strongly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, network, and software systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field device configuration software
  • Experience operating aerial lift equipment (bucket trucks, lifts)
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License required
  • CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain โ€“ company sponsored)
Work Environment
  • Field-based role across Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties
  • Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round
  • Occasional night or weekend work may be required depending on project needs
