The Content Management Sr. Analyst supports the development, management, and publishing of content for Partners Online (POL), Target's digital portal for business partners.

In this role, you will work closely with Product, User Experience (UX), Technology, Operations, and business teams to deliver consistent, accurate, and discoverable content experiences across Partners Online. You'll partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to transform complex business processes and requirements into clear, accurate, and user-friendly content that enables business partners to successfully do business with Target.

As the primary content partner for your assigned business areas, you will manage content throughout its lifecycle-from intake and content development to stakeholder review, publishing, and ongoing maintenance. You'll collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information, create and refine content, and ensure it aligns with Target's standards for tone, voice, branding, accessibility, and usability before publication. You will also continuously improve content organization, usability, and discoverability as the Partners Online platform evolves. By applying content and metadata standards and adopting AI-assisted tools and scalable editorial practices, you'll help deliver a consistent, high-quality content experience while improving efficiency across the platform.

About the Team

The BPX Communication & Engagement Team is responsible for content management for Partners Online (POL), Target's digital portal for business partners. More than 200,000 business partners worldwide rely on POL to access the policies, processes, tools, training, and resources they need to do business with Target.

The team partners with business stakeholders across the enterprise to develop, manage, and publish content that supports every aspect of doing business with Target. By establishing content standards, metadata, governance practices, and scalable publishing processes, the team ensures content is accurate, accessible, easy to navigate, and consistent across the business partner experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full content lifecycle for assigned business areas, from intake and content development through stakeholder review, publication, ongoing maintenance, and retirement.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate complex business processes and requirements into clear, accurate, and user-friendly content that aligns with Target's standards for tone, voice, branding, accessibility, and usability.

  • Maintain a high-quality content experience by applying content, metadata, and governance standards, ensuring content is accurate, discoverable, well-organized, and easy to navigate.

  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Technology, Legal, Operations, and business stakeholders to improve content organization, information architecture, usability, and the overall business partner experience across Partners Online.

  • Provide content consultation and guidance by recommending content solutions, coordinating stakeholder reviews, and supporting best practices for content creation and management.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify content management, enhance publishing processes, and leverage AI-assisted tools, reusable content, and standardized editorial practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in content management, content operations, technical writing, knowledge management, digital content, or a related field.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to translate complex business processes into clear, user-friendly content.

  • Experience working with enterprise content management systems (CMS) and structured content.

  • Experience using Contentful or a similar enterprise content management platform.

  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle management, metadata, taxonomy, and accessibility best practices.

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and develop content.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Curiosity and adaptability with an interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools and evolving content management practices to improve quality and efficiency.

  • A creative mind, with a practical outlook and unwavering ability to go with the flow.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
