Conga

Job description

Content Marketing Manager
Location: Greater Boston, MA or Greater Houston, TX
Reports to: Senior Content Marketing Manager

A quick snapshot...

As the Content Marketing Manager at Conga, you will help shape and scale the content that drives awareness, educates buyers, and supports pipeline growth across the customer journey. Sitting at the intersection of Brand, Demand Generation, and Product Marketing, you will create compelling, high-quality content while ensuring every asset is optimized for how modern buyers-and increasingly AI-powered search experiences-discover and consume information.

This role combines creative storytelling with strategic execution. You'll write and manage content across multiple channels, support Conga's webinar and speaker programs, and help evolve our content strategy through SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) best practices.

This is not simply a content production role-it's an opportunity to help define how Conga's expertise, thought leadership, and brand voice are represented across every stage of the buyer journey.

Why it's a big deal...

Today's B2B buyers consume information differently than ever before. They rely on search engines, AI-powered assistants, peer recommendations, and self-guided research to evaluate solutions long before speaking with a sales team.

As Content Marketing Manager, you'll help ensure Conga's voice and expertise are discoverable wherever buyers are searching for answers. Your work will directly influence brand awareness, pipeline generation, customer engagement, and thought leadership, helping position Conga as a trusted partner in commercial operations technology.

The content you create and manage will serve as a critical connection point between buyers, products, campaigns, and revenue outcomes.

What you'll lead...

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create and edit high-quality content across multiple formats, including blog posts, website copy, email campaigns, social media content, one-pagers, thought leadership pieces, and campaign assets.
  • Develop content aligned to buyer pain points and business priorities across every stage of the marketing funnel.
  • Translate complex product capabilities, market trends, and industry concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, product leaders, and executives to transform insights into engaging customer-facing content.

SEO, AEO & GEO Optimization

  • Apply SEO best practices to improve discoverability, search rankings, and organic traffic performance.
  • Develop content optimized for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) by anticipating and directly addressing buyer questions.
  • Create content designed for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring Conga's expertise is retrievable and referenced by AI-powered search and large language models.
  • Leverage keyword research, content structuring, internal linking strategies, and metadata optimization across digital experiences.

Content Operations & Governance

  • Help manage and maintain Conga's editorial calendar, ensuring content production aligns with campaign objectives and business priorities.
  • Maintain content standards, governance processes, and brand consistency across all channels.
  • Organize and manage content repositories to ensure assets remain accessible, current, and easy to activate.
  • Support content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities for optimization, repurposing, and expansion.

Webinar & Speaker Program Management

  • Lead and manage Conga's webinar program from planning through execution and post-event promotion.
  • Partner closely with Demand Generation to align webinar topics and messaging to strategic campaigns.
  • Create supporting assets including abstracts, landing pages, speaker briefs, presentations, follow-up emails, and promotional materials.
  • Repurpose webinar content into blogs, social content, nurture streams, and additional campaign assets.
  • Support the development and growth of Conga's speaker bureau, ensuring internal subject matter experts and executives are prepared to represent Conga across industry events and thought leadership opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Impact

  • Partner with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Marketing, and Creative teams to align content to business objectives.
  • Ensure content supports pipeline goals, buyer engagement, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Measure content performance and use insights to continuously improve content strategy and execution.
  • Advocate for content quality and buyer-centric storytelling across the marketing organization.

Are you the person we're looking for?

A proven track record...

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, editorial, or related marketing roles, preferably within B2B SaaS or technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated success creating content across multiple formats, audiences, and stages of the buyer journey.
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and evolving content optimization disciplines including AEO and GEO.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars and coordinating multiple content initiatives simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and content management processes.
  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns and demand generation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation platforms and content's role within nurture and campaign programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders while balancing competing priorities.
  • Portfolio or work samples demonstrating strong writing, storytelling, and content strategy capabilities.

You excel at managing multiple priorities, maintaining momentum, and delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.

Business Impact Orientation

You connect content initiatives to measurable outcomes and understand how content contributes to pipeline and revenue growth.

Here's what will give you an edge...

  • Experience within B2B SaaS, commercial operations, revenue lifecycle management, CPQ, CLM, or related technology markets.
