Job description

Daystar Television Network is seeking a visionary and agile Content Creator to join our Digital Media team. This role is for a storytelling powerhouse who owns the entire creative process—from concept to final cut. You won't just edit footage; you will identify powerful moments, develop original concepts, and produce scroll-stopping video content that connects our global audience to our mission.
Operating at the speed of social media, you will transform sermons, interviews, and events into relevant, culturally aware, and spiritually impactful stories. If you have a sharp editorial eye, a passion for viral storytelling, and the ability to ideate and execute with exceptional speed and quality, this is your opportunity to shape the digital voice of a leading ministry.
Please submit your resume, a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and heart for ministry, and 2-3 examples of your work as a content creator (links are acceptable). Daystar Television Network is an equal opportunity employer.
Must be a Christian committed to the Gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ
Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Content Production: Lead the full creative lifecycle—ideation, scripting, filming, editing, motion graphics, and publishing—for daily social video content (YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok).
  • Editorial Vision amp; Ideation: Proactively watch live broadcasts and review raw footage with a creator’s mindset, identifying and pitching compelling narratives, soundbites, and visual stories that will resonate on digital platforms.
  • Fast-Paced Execution: Thrive in a deadline-driven environment. Produce a high volume of relevant content with quick turnarounds, often creating and publishing within hours of live events or trending moments.
  • Cultural amp; Platform Relevance: Create content that speaks the language of social media. Understand trending formats, audio, and styles, and adapt ministry messages to fit natively within platforms while maintaining theological integrity.
  • Technical Production amp; Editing: Expertly film using content creator cameras (e.g., Sony A7 series, Panasonic GH series, Canon R series), edit, color grade, mix audio, and design motion graphics to produce polished, professional, and engaging content primarily using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Performance Analysis:
  • Monitor content performance to understand what connects. Use data and insights to inform future creative decisions and rapidly iterate on successful formats.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with Social Media Strategists, Ministry Leaders, and Producers to align video content with organizational goals and campaign calendars.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Content Creator, Video Producer, or similar role with a portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual vision and fast-paced execution. Experience in digital media, publishing, or ministry is highly preferred.
  • Technical amp; Creative Mastery:
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Audition).
  • Proficient in filming with professional content creator cameras (DSLR, mirrorless, cinema cameras) and audio/video equipment for both studio and run-and-gun social content. Strong skills in storytelling, scripting, and directing for short-form video.
Skills amp; Abilities:
  • A "creator mindset": ability to generate original ideas and see story potential in raw material.
  • Exceptional sense of pacing, visual composition, and audio design for social media.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines (same-day/next-day).
  • Deep understanding of what makes content engaging on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Soft Skills: Heart for ministry and alignment with Daystar’s mission. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Proactive, self-motivated, and constantly curious about trends and new techniques. Preferred Skills:
  • Experience as an on-camera presenter or with voice-over work.
  • Experience creating content for faith-based or inspirational audiences.
  • Knowledge of live streaming and multi-cam production.
  • Basic graphic design skills for thumbnails and static assets.
  • What We Offer: Competitive Compensation amp; Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage; 403(b) with company match
Creative Ownership:
  • The opportunity to define and drive visual storytelling for a global ministry.
  • Direct Impact: Your creativity will be the first touchpoint for millions seeking inspiration and truth online.
  • Dynamic Environment: Work in a state-of-the-art broadcast facility with a passionate, mission-driven team.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work on computer editing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional nights or weekends to cover events.
  • May require light lifting of production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio gear).
  • Requires a normal range of hearing and vision.
