Job description

What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Collaborate in developing,ย designingย andย implementingย planning concepts and projects for the Container Management Functionย 
  • Support the suppliers in necessary processesย suchย as transportation, infrastructure, packaging,ย schedulingย and equipment to ensureย anย optimalย and reliable supply chain of empties.ย 
  • Scheduling empties (pallets, containers, transport frames, etc.) and tracking of delivery backlogsย 
  • Identification of potential risks in the supply chain. Active development and cross-departmental alignment and follow up of countermeasures as part of the bottleneckย controlย including checking the transport container inventory.ย 
  • Identifying,ย processingย andย maintainingย data for transport container inventory management and control, as well as processing complaints and initiating inventories.ย 
  • Establishingย ongoing,ย constructiveย and cooperative communication withย the suppliers.ย 
  • Steering ofย empty containers in the loop between the Scout plant and the supplier plant, to secure the plants with enough containers.ย 
  • Assumption of special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holderย 
  • This Role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines,ย standardsย and regulationsย 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolinaย 
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.ย 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyย from time to time.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in automotive production andย logisticsย (e.g, inbound/outboundย logistics, supplier management, container management, JIT/JIS)ย 
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management,ย logisticsย or related fields.ย An equivalent amount of relevantย work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.ย 
  • Experience in automotiveย logisticsย supplier managementย preferredย 
  • Strong technical skills in networking,ย hardwareย and software systems as well as process designย 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skillsย 
  • Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyย 
  • High attendance to travelย

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
