Job description

The Consumer Lending department receives loan applications from the branches, loan centers, account sales and the internet. These loan applications include auto, boat, credit card, home equity, RV and home improvement. This department also reviews documents for making loan decisions and is responsible for balancing loan losses with approval rates, thus ensuring profitability and serving our customers' needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required. College degree preferred.
Three (3) years of experience in consumer lending required.
Strong reasoning skills are essential to make well thought out decisions.
Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers while displaying excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to work independently and adapt to change.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Principal Activities and Duties:
Use Dollar Bank's underwriting guidelines, review and make decisions on all types of consumer credit.
Review tax returns on self-employed customers to verify income.
Review and analyze all necessary documents such as property reports, flood reports and appraisals.
Discuss loan decisions with branches and loan center team members.
Support branches in handling customers' borrowing needs.
All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program. Compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures is a required component of all position descriptions.
