As the Consumer Product Development Partner - Retail Branch Growth Strategy , you will be focused on developing and delivering new product strategies across our key growth vertical within our retail branch network & delivering changes to existing products or programs to meet customer needs and expectations in a sound manner. The focus is to build an efficient, end-to-end delivery processes that increase product capability and improves processes to meet budget forecasts in products.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Responsible for all card product growth strategies within Retail Branch network; partnering closely with Retail Sales & Support for implementation.  
  • Primary business line POC for all retail matters - developing cohesive strategy encompassing client and customer feedback .
  • Ensure projects are structured, defined, sanctioned and initiated and then responsible for delivery to time, cost and quality. Includes responsibility for full benefit realization and formal closure with Post Project Implementation Review undertaken.
  • Responsible for management of full project governance on behalf of the LOB.
  • Create and implement operational or functional business plans aligned with the overall business strategy to ensure the business unit has the capacity and capability to meet the agreed objectives. Contribute ideas, innovations and insights based on operational and customer needs to the overall business plan, to ensure the right objectives and focus is set in that plan.
  • Manage Business Case creation and approval process.
  • Will provide input to business strategy and prioritization of product portfolio.
  • Ensure the sponsor's business requirements have been clearly defined and documented. Define the scope of the project, own and manage project goals, risks, issues and resources.
  • Establish and build relationships across the company to facilitate achievement of strategic goals maintaining momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in building of product and process management capacity in to the organization.

Skillsets needed: 

  • Proven track record of driving product initiatives within cards, lending, or consumer financial services; strong consumer card experience desired 
  • Branch/Retail strategy experience - ability to drive meaningful growth through partnership - across retail footprint(s) with track record of success
  • Ability to partner with sales leadership; crafting cohesive and achievable growth plans
  • Deep understanding of acquisition and portfolio economics for credit card product, lifecycle management, and customer value creation
  • Strategic architect with the ability to operate in the details; ability to equally set strategic vision and execute 
  • Enterprise leader skilled at influencing across a complex, matrixed environment as an individual contributor 
  • Builder mentality - comfortable operating in maturing state and overall scaling business driven.  Someone who can build processes vs follow
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes 

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Required Qualifications
    • 7+ years of Card product experience; strong knowledge of Credit Card industry and P&L 
    • Deep understanding of Credit Card acquisition channels; particularly within retail network (branch)
    • Ability to navigate and lead through highly matrix based organization 
    • Builder mindset; experience & comfortability in developing new to bank strategic initiatives from idea creation to implementation
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • MBA
    • 11+ years of bank retail and consumer lending product team experience 

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F, mandatory 4 days/week in a Citizens office location

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
