Job description

Job Summary:
Boost Mobile is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Product Strategy and Development, Hardware to join their dynamic team. This role will lead the hardware product strategy and oversee the device portfolio lifecycle while driving innovation and strategic growth within the wireless telecom space.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the overall hardware product strategy, aligning with the company's long-term goals and market demands, with a focus on product categories such as smartphones, modules, and consumer IoT.
• Lead and mentor product development and product management teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Oversee the entire device portfolio lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch analysis, across smartphones, modules, and consumer IoT.
• Identify emerging trends and technologies in the wireless telecom industry to inform product roadmap decisions for these specific categories.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure seamless product development and successful market penetration of smartphones, modules, and consumer IoT devices.
• Manage relationships with key external partners and vendors.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, regularly reporting on progress and making data-driven adjustments to strategy.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A long and demonstrated history in product development and management, with a proven track record of bringing successful hardware products to market.
• Extensive experience, preferably within the wireless telecom industry, with a deep understanding of device ecosystems and market dynamics.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Preferred:
• Master's degree preferred.
