Academic Hospital in Greater NYC Seeking a Consult Liaison Psychiatrist. Full time position with competitive compensation, benefits, student loan repayment of $120,000 over 3 years and malpractice coverage. New residents graduating in the next 12 months encouraged to apply!

Job Function:
  • Day Shift.
  • Provide Consult-Liaison (C/L) services for a 160-170 bed Med-Surg unit and assist in launching a new 8-bed Med/Psych unit.
  • Manage approximately 3 new consults per day, plus ongoing care for 3-4 admitted Med-Surg patients.
  • Work alongside a PGY-2 or PGY-4 resident at all times, with occasional collaboration with a Psych NP.
  • Deliver high-quality psychiatric care within the Med-Surg unit (No ED coverage).
  • Offer psychotherapy oversight for residents, if interested.

  • Fellowship Training in C/L Psychiatry.
  • Board Eligibility or Board Certification Required.
