Job description

RJS Construction is a woman/ Indian/ family-owned construction company which provides construction services to all government agencies. RJS has multiple projects throughout the Midwest. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years commercial construction experience. You must have the ability and experience to completely understand and construct new buildings from the ground up through building completion. Federal construction experience is helpful. Qualified candidates should fully understand all aspects of construction activities and be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk and inspect the jobsite as needed. Safety and being able to organize/ conduct safety meetings is a requirement. communication with all team members including Owner/owners rep, architects, engineers, inspectors. Hold weekly progress meetings, able to follow a master schedule /mirror the progress with a 3 week look ahead schedule. RJS includes 2 weeks paid vacation per year, 40 hours sick pay, health, and dental insurance plan, as a superintendent you will be reimbursed your mileage in your personal vehicle at current government rate or a RJS vehicle if available will be assigned to you. This superintendent position is for a ground up 14,500 square foot detention facility in Quinault Washington. The construction duration for this project is expected to be 1 1/2 years.

Job Requirements

10 years commercial construction. Construct new and remodel of existing buildings, Journeyman carpenter. physically fit to lift 50 pounds, stand, and walk for long durations, valid driver’s license, able to access Government sites, Pass a government background check. Experience in new and remodel construction projects. Experience working in the federal construction industry, safety minded self-starter able to supervise multiple tasks.
