Position Outline:
As a Construction Estimator at Waterton Construction, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of our estimates and detailed project specifications. Your work will be the foundation that supports project success, from initial planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis: Review and evaluate project plans, specifications, and scopes to develop precise cost estimates for a range of construction projects.
  • Material and Labor Costs: Calculate and analyze material, labor, and subcontractor expenses while keeping market trends and project-specific requirements in mind.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed, competitive bids and effectively present proposals to clients.
  • Client Engagement: Foster and maintain client relationships by providing exceptional service and identifying potential opportunities for future projects.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to ensure smooth transitions and successful project handoff.
  • Customer Service: Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Preferred: 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on hardscape or commercial projects.
    • Required: Proven track record managing $20 million to $40 million annually in construction estimating.
  • Construction Knowledge: Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong organizational and administrative capabilities to manage project details efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in estimating and administrative work.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Required: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and keyboarding.
    • Preferred: Experience with project management software and advanced estimating tools.
