Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Scheduler working out of our Pacific Office, located in Corona, CA. The Scheduler will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of assigned projects for timely and profitable completion in a professional manner; ensure the Company and Owner goals are met; and exercise best judgement when authorizing cost and schedule matters, as necessary. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not currently available for this position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and preconstruction managers in the development of CPM schedules for projects, pre-bid project evaluations, and preconstruction services
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective scheduling management filing system
  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines and deadlines for CPM schedules and project schedule reports
  • Accommodate updates and changes to project schedules
  • Assist in identifying potential project schedule delays and development of a time impact analysis
  • Facilitate and create action items to provide detailed analysis and reports to support schedule updates, changes, impacts, or delays
  • Assist in the development of monthly project schedule narratives which describe schedule progress, logic changes, implementation of project changes and detailed explanation of potential impacts or delays
  • Instruct and train project personnel to enhance understanding, development, and use of Primavera P6 software to create and maintain effective schedules
  • Document project scheduling and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide technical assistance to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years minimum of related experience in heavy civil construction CPM scheduling
  • Must have experience as an employee of a heavy civil, self-performing construction company, working specifically on projects based in California
  • Must have working field knowledge of heavy civil construction activities as it relates to earthwork, concrete structures, foundations, underground utilities, subcontractor scopes such as electrical, landscaping, fencing, etc.
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling, Primavera P6 software, along with the ability to create accurate and comprehensive schedules and reports
  • Ability to create CPM resource loading, Activity Codes, Time Impact Analysis, delay impacts, narrative statements, and sequence analysis on a monthly basis
  • Experience working with public and private clients in Southern California on highway heavy and civil construction related projects
  • Understanding and knowledge of contract administration with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers as it relates to scheduling
  • Communicate effectively with personnel
  • Possess good planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of all construction related field activities, project specifications, applications and interpretation
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, Primavera (P6), Outlook, and other process skillsets necessary to manage project scheduling
Working Conditions
  • This position will be required to work out of the Pacific Office – remote work options are not available.
  • As part of our selection process, this position requires an in person interview. Candidates are responsible for any associated travel expenses.
  • Office Environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally
  • Travel – ability to travel to projects as necessary to facilitate interaction and coordination of project schedules
  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
