Job Description:

1. Supports the Vice President of Construction with assigned responsibilities.
2. Manages Senior Project Managers / Project Managers and supports all construction activities through Project Management collaboration.
3. Manages team performance, including appraisals, coaching, and development; communicates expectations and enforces policies, procedures, and standards; implements disciplinary action when necessary.
4. Oversees the creation of master schedules, project timelines, and milestones.
5. Review and approve project-specific budgets.
6. Trains assigned individuals on the Company's project financial objectives.
7. Assign project Managers to execute negotiated and awarded projects based on experience and customer expectations.
8. Develop and maintain customer relationships.
9. Works with the Construction Team to meet customer expectations.
10. Administers timely performance reviews for direct reports.
11. Assists in interviews and hiring for the construction and estimating department.
12. Resolves unforeseen project conditions with Project Managers, including subcontractor challenges.
13. Reviews Project Managers' weekly schedules and reports for accuracy and completeness.
14. Review outgoing Weekly Project Updates for accuracy and completeness before submitting them to the customer.
15. Review the estimating teams' bid proposals before submission to the customer.
16. Review and sign construction-related documents, including Contracts, Change Orders, Subcontracts, Warranty and Guarantee Letters, and any other document included in the Project Requirements.
17. Provides support, backup documentation, information, insights, and direction regarding any disputes between the Company, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
18. Mentors Company employees by sharing experiences, pitfalls, and solutions.
19. Serves as a responsible leader through the direction and guidance of the team to ensure all safety requirements for all jobs are upheld. Adheres to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and the protection of co-workers, subcontractors, the public, and the client by supporting all Company safety efforts.
20. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

1. 15 years experience with related project management roles or equivalent.
2. Degree in construction management or a related field preferred.
3. Proven track record of success with measurable achievements in leadership roles.
4. Experience managing commercial construction teams in all project facets, including onsite and offsite work.
5. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the project.
6. Oversees scheduling, purchasing, and estimating experience and learning management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
7. Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
8. Proficient with computers and familiar with Microsoft Software Suite. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
9. Must be able to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and have excellent time management skills to achieve all established deadlines.
10. Able to identify a need, remove barriers, and know how to make things happen.
11. Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people. Has good common sense and applied logic.
12. Must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate state driver's license before employment, along with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
